How the check works
We use a professional Midtronics tester, the same type of equipment used in official dealerships and premium workshops. The whole process takes 3 to 5 minutes and does not require removing the battery:
- We connect the clamps to the terminals (no need to take the battery out of the car).
- We enter the nominal CCA for your vehicle model.
- The device runs a conductance test that measures internal resistance and simulates a real discharge.
- In a few seconds it gives a technical verdict with several key figures.
What we tell you exactly
- SoH (State of Health): remaining health percentage. Below 60% it is time to replace.
- Measured vs nominal CCA: if it delivers under 70% of the factory CCA, it will not crank well in the cold.
- Internal resistance: an indicator of sulfation and plate wear.
- Resting voltage: 12.6-12.8 V means a healthy battery; under 12.2 V, a discharged one.
With these figures we tell you honestly whether you need a replacement, a recharge, or can simply carry on for a while. If the result is good, we say so and sell you nothing.
